Different learning needs

I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students in both mainstream and specialist settings, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and additional learning needs. Through teaching, tutoring, and collaboration with SEN professionals, I have developed a strong understanding of how to adapt learning to suit each individual. My approach is structured, responsive, and tailored—using clear routines, step-by-step guidance, and visual support to reduce cognitive overload and build confidence. I work closely with SEN teams to embed effective strategies and ensure consistency, while also prioritising students’ emotional wellbeing. Ultimately, I aim to create a supportive, engaging environment where every learner feels understood and empowered to succeed.

18 years of professional experience

I am an experienced English educator with a strong background in both leadership and classroom teaching across the UK and international settings.

I served as Leader of Learning English at Inspired Schools Online and have previously been Head of English in Abu Dhabi. My experience includes working as a Senior English Examiner, private tutor, and Deputy Head of English, as well as teaching English and Psychology in secondary schools.
